Now THERE is the pot calling the kettle black!

First of all, I have read Calvin's Institutes. And the volumes are
right here on my shelf. And I understand Calvin. I also unerstand
him to be wrong in his premises and his assertions. I can cite Calvinist
theology with the best of them. So can Gary. And Matthew. And we flat
out disagree with you and Calvin. I wish I could say the same about
your understanding of Orthodoxy.

>Man is spiritually dead. Period.

And your point is? Nobody is denying that man can not save himself by
his own devices. Please point to a single post that I have made that
says man can, completely on his own, save himself.

God gives us grace that enables us to chose to serve Him. Without that
grace we can do nothing. The fundamental difference is that you believe
that God's grace compells, requires and otherwise forces the responses.
And that God actively withholds this grace from those he wishes to damn
to hell.

Once God gives the grace, it is our choice to accept it and use it wisely,
or to reject it. See the parable of the talents, the parable of the
prodigal son, the parable of the sheep and the goats, James, etc, etc, etc.

>Everything hinges upon because it is foundational to one's assessment
>to salvation.

And you have made the wrong asessment. So much of Scripture so blatantly
refutes you that it is impossible to imagine how you could follow the
doctrines of Calvin!

Open your eyes, man, and read the Scriptures.
