I don't particularly care what Steele & Thomas say. The Scriptures
refute you and them with their most plain and simple reading. When
someone says "But it doesn't mean that" and procceds to supply entire
volumes to explain away a clear, simple verse, you should be EXTREMELY
skeptical.

Nothing hinges on a literal reading of the Genesis record. And by the
way, which one? Genesis 1 or Genesis 2? There are two different creation
stories, with a different order of events.

Fine. Take John 6 literally, and THEN I'll listen to you about Genesis.

In other words, you wasted your money, since you didn't really learn
anything. :-(

Banana See the relevant sections in Wikipedia - banana and plantain for more information. The origins of the banana seem uncertain, other than that they appear to have thrived in tropical regions.
