Hebrew ba'al lord
Noun
Hebrew plural: Baalim.
- (Mythology) The supreme male divinity of the Phoenician and Canaanitish nations. The name of this god occurs in the Old Testament and elsewhere with qualifying epithets subjoined, answering to the different ideas of his character; as, Baal-berith, Baal-zebub, etc.
- plural The whole class of divinities to whom the name Baal was applied. Judges x. 6.

is described by Josephus : The Jewish war, which also reports

thet Deuteronomy Chapter 28:56-57 too was fulfilled.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye
should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out
of darkness into his marvellous light:
Is the above not addressed to the Church?
I believe so. So here we have God telling us through the
Apostle Peter that
the church is "an holy nation."
