I think my stance is the same as Aquinas. Both God and
the person determined the choice. It seems that Aquinas
teaches that the same choice can be caused by two causes.
The ultimate cause is God, and the immediate cause is
the man.

We are not saved by choosing Jesus.

Betty Lou, were she saved, was not saved by choosing Jesus.

Needless to say, I disagree. One is saved by "coming to Jesus,"
but one comes to Jesus by faith, which is neither a good nor
a bad WORK.

When one receives Jesus, then GOD saves the person. This salvation
has many components, being born of the Spirit from Above, being
sealed by the Holy Spirit (Never can be lost), being justified
by faith, (Christ's righteousness is imputed to the person),
becoming a child of God, etc.

The RESULT of this "so great salvation," is that works follow.
Some type of works, even if they be as simple as those of
the thief on the cross. And further, even if all the person's
works are worthless, the person is still saved.

God gives the person everlasting life when one believes,
and this life is everlasting and cannot end.

I suppose that it matters not that many well educated philosophers,
educated in both philosophy and logic disagree with you?

Bart, why the diversion?

So, you are saying that the raping of little children is God's
will?
