You haven't explained how, in eternity, someone can be punished
for a while and then ceased to be punished. There is no concept
of "ceasing" without time, because for something to "cease", it
has to happen at one time and then stop happening at another.

You're not being logical.

Nice try but you are wrong. Enoch "died" as Hebrews said. Elijah did
not go to heaven- even Hebrews 9:8 says that the "way into heaven had
not been manifest" even when the transfiguration took place! Hebrews
9:8 says the "holy spirit has made it plain..." that this is so.

You are also wrong about the meaning of the word "ascended", which has
no distinction between action taken involuntarily or voluntarily.
