Planning your days out is a big factor in succeeding in college. College courses can be very stressful, especially when you're not one of those kids who already knows everything and actually needs to do some hard work.
Allow longer periods for needed research papers to be completed. You will have a much more rigorous grading system than when you were in high school and you will need to invest the extra time. Create odd times to keep up with your reading - before class, after class, at lunch, standing in lines, while you are waiting for the bathroom, waiting for the bus, while you are on the bus... you get the point: use your time wisely.
Be sure to start studying for final exams at least three weeks before the final week is to begin. Starting early will ensure your retention of the necessary facts while you are still getting the extra sleep needed.
Keep a calendar of due dates, times, class schedules and other key events for your reference. Do not forget to reward yourself for that A or the finished paper! Learn from your mistakes and always find out where you went wrong, so you won't make the same errors the next time.
