129 These promoters of natural alkaline water filters are almost as bad as the sellers of additives which raise the pH of tap water to make it alkaline. The fact is that these natural non-electric alkaline water ionizer systems or filters are basically your old fashioned water filter like the Brita filter or singe stage inline filter, with an additional mineral adding filter which raises the pH of the water. This will make the water alkaline, but it will not incorporate any of the ionized alkaline water benefits which scientist have discovered. Only alkaline ionized water created by the water electrolysis process has those 3 health improving properties. Simply adding minerals or chemicals to raise the pH of your tap water is not the same thing, can be potentially life threatening, and does not incorporate any health benefits. Unfortunately, the water ionizer industry itself is very manipulative, companies like Kangen-Enagic spread misinformation to make people think they need to pay exorbitantly high prices for the alkaline water machines which actually will work and deliver the health benefits. They prey upon one of the most helpless sectors of society, the elderly, which are very vulnerable and susceptible to in person manipulative sales techniques. Other water ionizer companies have sprang up and attempt to ride on the back of Kangen by offering a competing machine at about 70% of the price of the Kangen SD501, saving the customer about $1000 to $1500 dollars over the Kangen unit, yet they collude among each other using misinformation and scare tactics such as poisonous water ionizer plates in an attempt to make people think they need to still pay a high price for the

. The truth is that there has never been 1 documented case of "poisoning" from water ionizer plates. In many cases, these companies are just as bad if not worse than the Kangen Enagic sales representatives. They offer a competing product at a slightly lower price, and misinform consumers with reports of titanium and platinum poisoning. They also deceive people by focusing on irrelevant issues like the number of plates, always increasing the number of plates inside their machines from 5 plates, to 7, now 9 plates, and even 11 and 15 plate models. Always making the customer think that they need to pay more for that water ionizer with more plates, is a common trick used to keep their profit margins at $2000 to $2500 per sale. The fact is that over the past several decades, tens of millions of people worldwide have received alkaline water ionizer benefits from 3 and 5 plate water ionizer designs. If you are a fan of Kangen / Enagic water ionizers, and you have been drinking their water and you have noticed health benefits, take a look at their line of ionizers, you will see most of them have 5 plates inside. This constant push by water ionizer scam artist companies to deceive consumers with ever increasing numbers of plates, ever higher electrical wattage, and manipulation via scare tactics, keeps their profits high at consumers expense. As I stated before, it is the elderly who are the biggest consumers of water ionizers in the Unites States, and they are one of the most vulnerable sectors of society. Water ionizer companies know this, and will continue to use manipulative sales tactics to deceive people and keep the prices and their by their profit margins high. Only and informed consumer, who does the proper research, and who has common sense, will understand this truth. This website is here to shed light on this manipulative industry dominated by misinformation and scare tactics exploiting one of the most vulnerable sectors of American society.

123 Through electrolysis large tap mineral clusters are reduced from their original size. The smaller cluster size gives the water excellent hydrating properties, high solubility and good permeability." Just How Stressed Out Is Your Drinking Water? Small clusters? Is this stuff for real? Well, yes and no, I discovered, after reaching out to Kenneth Jordan, distinguished professor of computational
chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh. Well known for his work on water clusters—groups of water molecules linked together—he collaborated on a number of studies on water structure that Science magazine listed as among the top ten scientific breakthroughs of 2004. There are dozens of companies that claim to convert water into clustered water or to otherwise rearrange water and sell products based on this. Essentially, all of these claims are bogus," he wrote in an email. "Take clustered water as an example

. One can make this in a laboratory at very low temperatures and very low pressures (i.e., in a vacuum). This keeps the clusters from touching one another. If they touch, they coalesce into bulk water, which is more stable. Alternative-health guru Andrew Weil used that word as well in response to a question about Kangen Water in 2010. "It is the latest variation of so-called alkaline water, which promoters claim is essential for elimination of the acidity in our bodies—attributed to all the evils of the modern world .... The human body needs absolutely no help in adjusting its pH." He added, Unless you have serious respiratory or kidney problems, body pH will remain in balance no matter what you eat or drink .... Bottom line: The health claims for water ionizers and for alkaline water are bogus. It's tempting to close with just one word—"ditto." But in fairness, alkaline water, like any clean water, is a far better choice for hydrating than soda or an additive-filled sports drink. If you choose to see an expensive machine as a gateway to a healthier lifestyle or to give you an edge when competing in sports, then jump right in. It's part and parcel of an alkaline diet, after all, a mostly-vegetarian regimen that I haven't really addressed here. (Why not? Scroll back up and take another look at the question.) But if you think alkaline water will allow you to avoid illnesses that fall into the "Sometimes Stuff Happens" category or live forever, then you are bound to be disappointed.
